To fully leverage its research strengths and further deepen collaboration between universities and local governments, Han Xiping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin University Committee, led a delegation on September 6 to the Jilin Provincial Ethnic Affairs Commission for a field research meeting. The delegation aimed to discuss strengthening research on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, compiling the "Three Interactions" historical records, and advancing think tank development. The meeting was chaired by Hu Ying, Deputy Director of the Jilin Provincial Ethnic Affairs Commission.

The meeting emphasized that in April,Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University was successfully selected as a research base for forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. This research base, established jointly by the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, serves as a national platform for scientific innovation. It represents a significant initiative to focus the Party’s ethnic work on strengthening the sense of community for the Chinese nation in the new era.
Jilin University remains committed to interdisciplinary collaboration across the university, leveraging its platform strengths to achieve synergy with ethnic regions. Through joint efforts, the university aims to support rural revitalization in ethnic areas and advance archaeological studies on the "Three Interactions" historical records. The goal is to build a distinctive and impactful research base that enhances the multi-ethnic integration and branding of Jilin's ethnic identity, providing robust theoretical support for ethnic work in Jilin Province and the Northeast region.
Looking ahead, the Jilin Provincial Ethnic Affairs Commission will further deepen its collaboration with Jilin University. By integrating resources from various sectors, enhancing communication and coordination, and translating theory into practical outcomes, the partnership will focus on key initiatives such as education and training for cadres and talent, developing distinctive industries, constructing ethnically diverse villages, and uncovering ethnic historical records. These efforts will be concretized and implemented as projects, contributing to the development of ethnic work in Jilin Province in the new era.

The meeting was attended by Tang Miao, Director of the Jilin University Archaeology and Art Museum, Luo Kequan, Director of Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University, and relevant officials from the Provincial Ethnic Affairs Commission.
