United in Progress, Collaborative Development: Promoting the Construction of “Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation” Bases Through Inter-Institutional Cooperation

To thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on strengthening and improving ethnic work and to further promote the forging of a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, the Cooperation Signing Ceremony between the Wenshan Academy Research Base for Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation in Yunnan Province and Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University was successfully held on the morning of May 13 in Room 301 of LynZhenyu Building. The event was attended by Professor Luo Kequan, Director of Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University; Professor Wang Cheng, Deputy Director of the Center; and Associate Professor Zhi Jichao, also Deputy Director of the Center.

Professor Chen Shirong, Dean of the School of Marxism at Wenshan Academy, introduced the general profile of the Wenshan Research Base and highlighted the significant achievements the base has made in its practical explorations. He expressed hopes for future collaborations with the School of Marxism at Jilin University andChinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University, emphasizing joint research, resource sharing, and complementary advantages to promote synergy in advancing the construction of the "Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation" base.

Professor Luo Kequan warmly welcomed the delegation from Wenshan Academy and gave a comprehensive introduction to Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University, including its background, distinctive strengths, and research achievements. He emphasized that Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University, as the only base in Northeast China approved by four central ministries, focuses on diverse research areas, including the history and culture of the Northeast region, borderland ethnic studies, major archaeological projects in Northeast and Northeast Asia, and theoretical and practical issues concerning forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. Professor Luo pointed out that Yunnan boasts rich resources and experience in promoting ethnic unity and forging a strong sense of community. He noted that mutual understanding and collaborative, interdisciplinary, and cross-regional research between the two bases are significant for achieving innovation, integration, and mutual success.

Associate Professor Zhi Jichaobelieved, "The School of Marxism at Wenshan Academy and the School of Marxism at Jilin University are family in three ways. First, as Schools of Marxism, we share a common identity. Second, we are united in our mission and theoretical research on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation. Third, we are family in practice as well. This collaboration is, in itself, a process of forging that sense of community. There are many areas for future cooperation, offering significant opportunities and a promising outlook. This partnership represents a 'two-way commitment' to forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation."

The exchange concluded in a warm and harmonious atmosphere, with the signing ceremony successfully completed. Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University will remain committed to its mission of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, leveraging local resources to serve moral and intellectual cultivation while deepening inter-institutional collaboration. This partnership will contribute wisdom and strength to the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China.
