In order to completely, accurately and comprehensively grasp and implement General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping's important thoughts on strengthening and improving ethnic work, to do a good job in the trial work of the courseTheIntroduction ofCommunity for the ChineseNationin the fall semester of2024, and to further strengthen the construction of thiscourse,Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University (CNNSC)held a collective lesson preparation meetingaboutTheIntroduction ofCommunity for the ChineseNationat noon on April 30 in 301, LynZhenyu Building. The teaching team exchanged views on the use of teaching materials, teaching contents, training of teaching team and course construction ofIntroduction oftheTheIntroduction ofCommunity for the ChineseNation.Professor Luo Kequan, Director ofCNNSC,presided over the preparation meeting.
Professor Luo Kequan conveyed to the teaching team the spirit of the publication symposium ofTheIntroduction ofCommunity for the ChineseNationheld bythe National Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People’s Republic of Chinain Beijing, emphasizing that the teaching material ofThe Introduction of Community for the Chinese Nationis an important decision and deployment made bythePresidentXi Jinping, an important deployment of thethe National Ethnic Affairs Commission of the People’s Republic of China, and an important initiative for the implementation of theImplementation Plan for the Strengthening of Education forConsolidatingtheSense of the ChineseNation asOneSingleCommunity of Jilin University.He emphasizedthatTheIntroduction ofCommunity for the ChineseNationis a public textbook with the attribute of ideological and political education, the teaching team shouldfocus oncourse construction andimprove thestandard.
Shao Yanmin, director of the Academic Committee ofCNNSC, emphasized that the lecturers should study the textbookTheIntroduction ofCommunity for the ChineseNationcomprehensively and thoroughly to improve the quality of the course; they should strengthen the teaching research anddiscussmoreto promote “research” by “teaching”, and to help “teaching” by “research”.
Teachers in the team had a lively and in-depth discussion on five aspects, namely, “Introduction to the course”, “Structure of the course”, “Teaching plan”, “Suggestions for lesson preparation” and “Assignment of tasks for lesson preparation”. During thediscussion, teachers expressed their own views, inspired each other, and jointly explored how to promote the teaching work of the coursebetter. They all agreed thatjointhe seminars andpreparelessonstogether, they have learned to understand the latest spirit and requirements, expanded their teaching methods and ideas, and helped to improve the teaching and research level of the course. The next step is to further study and research, combine theory and practice, and teach the courseTheIntroduction ofCommunity for the ChineseNationaccurately, completely, and deeply.
