Recently, Professor Han Xiping, an expert from the Chinese Northeastern Nationality Study Center of Jilin University, published an article entitled Comprehensively Deepening Reform should grasp the methodology of" First standing before Breaking in the 10th issue of People's Tribune 2024
The article pointed out that the successful promotion of the reform and opening up cause cannot be separated from the guidance of scientific methodology, and "establish before break" is the practical principle of comprehensively deepening the reform. From the historical perspective, since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, our Party has experienced a methodological transformation from "breaking first and then establishing" to "establishing first and then breaking". The methodology of "first standing and then breaking" is the inheritance and practice deepening of Marxist social development theory, and has achieved a breakthrough in methodology. On the new journey, to promote comprehensive deepening of reform by "establishing first and then breaking", we should adhere to the word "establishing" as the first step, promote the transformation of old and new driving forces with systematic thinking, adhere to the "breaking" blockage, and grasp the "time and efficiency".
